We have had a wonderful response to the AR programme from our P.3-7 children. Our children have embraced the challenge of reading more books and taking quizzes. The next 100% club draw is on Friday 15th April and like all of our draws all children will be included at least once. The overall aims of the AR programme are firstly, to improve the children’s reading ability which will in turn impact on all other aspects of literacy such as spelling, talking and listening, and writing. Secondly, we hope our children will be more motivated to read than they usually are and finally we feel the programme will install a positive culture towards reading within the school community.
