Collaborative mark making with P5, 6&7
The boys and girls of KS2 enjoyed an interactive and thought provoking art lesson last week. The children were encouraged to make marks using charcoal that represented different things in the world around them.
They drew lines to represent their interpretation of wind, waves, sunshine, emotions; such as happiness and different animals. They were encouraged to be bold and strong with their marks and asked to make marks on top of other children's work. This was unusal for the pupils and they enjoyed moving around the classroom showing their creativity to one another.
They then took time to add colour to their work, finding lots of little marks that could represent other objects in the world around them.
Well done to everyone for giving this style of art a go and participating with great creative flair.
