Fairtrade Lego afterschool activity
1st Mar 2018
Today Lego club had a fairtrade theme. Children were put into 3 groups. One group had 5 members with lovely new Lego to use, one group had 4 members with lots of older Lego to use and one group had 2 members with only a small handful of lego. Children quickly debated how the groups were unfair. The task was to build a fairtrade farm using only the Lego on their table. Later children had the opportunity to trade pieces of Lego for others.
Before finishing pupils shared their creations and discussed fairness and equality in reality.
