As part of the shared teaching programme between Desertmartin P.S and Knocknagin P.S, our P.5 and 7 children got the opportunity to measure the distance between our two schools. 'Our Locality' is their current topic and this was one of the activities the children planned themselves. We used three different tools for measuring, and each school set off from their front gate. When we met half way, the children got together in groups and added the distances they had measured. The average distance calculated was 1.3 Kilometres. Well done to all children invloved.
